Autumn's First Light
A Pink Fig & Shambles and Shards Stained Glass Workshop
Wednesday, September 16, 2026 | 7:00 - 10:30pm at The Harriet Centre at York Cemetery
As summer slips into autumn and the evenings begin to draw in, we’re marking the changing season with something a little bit special.
The Pink Fig is joining forces with Shambles & Shards for an intimate stained glass workshop at the wonderfully atmospheric York Cemetery.
Guided by Madeline, you’ll create your own beautiful piece of stained glass to take home, learning the process as you go. No experience needed, no artistic credentials required, and absolutely no expectation that you suddenly become a master craftswoman by 9pm.
And because this is The Pink Fig, it’s not just about what we’re making.
There’ll be tea, coffee and cold drinks, alongside a few sweet treats and crisps to nibble on, plus plenty of time to chat and just 10 women around the table. A small, relaxed evening designed for good conversation, trying something new and meeting lovely people along the way.
Inspired by the autumn equinox, Autumn’s First Light is our little celebration of that moment when light and dark come briefly into balance before the season turns.
Come alone or bring a friend. We’ll handle the awkward bit. You just have to show up and make something beautiful.
